Lingcod Season runs from May 1st to June 15, limit one per day. Slot limit of 26 inches to 40 inches.
Cabezon
Season runs from May 1st to November 30. No minimum size, Daily limit two.
Ling/Cabezon success may depend on minor tidal movement so depending on the groupmix, and desires of the group,
we may opt for the later departure to capitalize on the tide change and slack tides. If the trip is booked
as a salmon trip, we often can include Ling Cod fishing too, but either way it is a trade off. Lets talk.
Due to the nature of the trip distances and the time investment required, a minimum charge for 3 is required.
Maximum of 4 is desirable, but 6 can be accommodated. Gear loss charges in excess of 2 set ups per individual fisher may be
added, to cover replacement of jigs and leads. Feel free to bring your own if you prefer, and is approved by the Captain.
Ling Cod fishing is a Drift or Mooching process, using a variety of jigs, lures, & baits. Each must be heavy
enough to stay close to the rocky bottom where Lings are found. I generally use 6 to 10 oz weight.
